Catja & Jana’s Swiss roots and global adventures have profoundly influenced their creative journey. With backgrounds in graphic design and technical drawing, Jana built a career in tourism, while Catja discovered her passion for jewelry and gemstones in Malaysia. After reuniting in Switzerland, they founded AMILLA Jewelry, a brand that seamlessly blends Swiss precision with a signature style –colorful, playful and effortlessly extra.

Catja Straub
Catja Straub’s upbringing in Switzerland and multiple journeys overseas have had an enduring influence on her work, setting the stage for an interest in cultures, colors, natural beauty, and all forms of design. After earning a degree in graphic design, her diverse interests led her to Asia, and she ultimately moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Catja shifted her attention to jewelry and colorful gemstones, drawing upon her design fundamentals to create her own jewelry style – colorful, playful and effortlessly extra. Her favorite part of the job is helping individuals find a suitable engagement ring, whether through consultation or by assisting in the creation of a custom-made piece.

Born to German-Malaysian parents, Richard cultivated an appreciation for timeless jewelry and exquisite craftsmanship from an early age. As a certified FGA Gemologist and a member of GEM-A, he has spent over a decade curating high-quality gemstone jewelry. His expertise ensures that every AMILLA piece embodies superior craftsmanship, rare gemstones and lasting value.
